Power has been restored to the 600+ members affected by this morning’s outage. The outage was caused early this morning by a tree interacting with the power lines, damaging a pole in the process. This pole and the one adjacent will be replaced over the next several days.

Power has been restored to most members in the Chelsea, Vershire, Tunbridge area. 6 members on Holt Hill Road in Chelsea are still without power as crews work to restore power. Replacing the broken pole and repairing any other damage will likely take several hours. No firm estimated restoration time.
Remember: Do not approach downed lines or trees on lines, as they may still be energized.

Crews have found a broken pole in a remote section of the line. They are currently re-routing electricity around the problem to restore power to as many as possible, which will soon bring the number of members out down from 617 to 6.
No estimated restoration time for those 6 members at present.

WEC is experiencing outages in Chelsea, Vershire, and Tunbridge. Up to 700 members without power.
Crews are on the way to assess the situation and begin the restoration process.
