NOTICE TO WASHINGTON ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE MEMBERS
On May 19, 2023, the Vermont Public Utility Commission (PUC) issued a Rate Order to Washington Electric Cooperative, authorizing a rate increase of 12.83%. In November 2022, the Co-op instituted a 14.19% rate increase. The Order requires the Co-op to return the excess amount collected since November 2022 to its ratepayers. Co-op members will see this refund as a credit on their September bills or by check if they have moved out of WEC's service territory.
