WEC is experiencing momentary outages in the towns served by the Jackson Corners Substation. These towns include Berlin, Brookfield, Barre, Chelsea, Northfield, Orange, Roxbury, Washington, and Williamstown.
On Friday, 8/18, late afternoon, members served by the Jackson Corners substation experienced several instances of momentary outages. These momentary outages have continued, including today, August 23. While investigating the issue, WEC crews determined that a substation device was malfunctioning. WEC will need to have a brief outage so that line crews can safely replace this unit. The outage will occur on Thursday, August 24 at 3 am and is planned to last for fewer than 5 minutes. Some members in the previously listed towns may be affected.
