RESTORED: Outages – 12/16 – 19/2022

WECOutages

December 19, 2022 | 2:00 pm

OUTAGES RESTORED – After long hours of hard work over the weekend, WEC line crews and dispatchers have completed restoring power across our territory. They were assisted by several mutual aid crews from Stowe Electric Department (VT), Holyoke Gas & Electric (MA), and Templeton Municipal Light & Water (MA)—thank you!!

Heavy, wet snow, a large number of separate events, and the widespread nature of the storm damage in our part of Vermont contributed to the difficulty of getting power back on for members. There will be several days of clean up and completing repairs to come. Again, please note that members are responsible for member-owned equipment, like service wires and meter sockets, and should have them reattached/repaired by a qualified electrician.

Members: please continue to notify WEC Member Services if you do not have power or see a tree on the lines by calling 802-223-5245 or toll-free 1-800-932-5245. Thank you for your continued patience as we finalize repairs.

Crews have worked throughout the night and day to restore power to our members. Currently, roughly 60 members are without power and we hope to have everyone back on by the end of the day.

Once outages related to the storm are restored, WEC crews will begin miscellaneous “clean up” work, such as removing trees on lines. Please note that members are responsible for member-owned equipment, like service wires and meter sockets, and having them reattached/repaired by a qualified electrician.

Members should continue to notify WEC Member Services if they do not have power or see a tree on the lines by calling 802-223-5245 or toll-free 1-800-932-5245. Thank you for your patience and for helping us by reporting outages.
