As of 3:30 pm – Two outages remain: one in Berlin and one in Moretown. Crews are still working to restore power. 80 members still affected.

As of 3:15 pm – Crews are working hard to restore power to the last 122 members still without power in Berlin and Moretown.

WEC’s and outside crews continue to make steady progress in restoring power to members. There are currently roughly 150 members still without power. Our goal remains to complete restoration today.

WEC’s and outside crews continue to make good progress. Fewer than 300 members remain without power.

Statewide, fewer than 25,000 remain without power.

WEC crews, assisted by outside line workers, have made good progress this morning. Fewer than 400 members remain without power. Our goal is to complete restoration today, although additional outages or particularly difficult repairs may slow crews. Statewide, more than 25,000 remain without power.

WEC crews worked through the night restoring outages. As of this morning 702 members remain out of power due to 37 events. At the peak yesterday we had 3,600 members out of power.

Crews from three other Vermont utilities will join WEC line workers today as they continue to work on restoration.

WEC crews continue to work on restoring power, but as always work is slower and harder in the dark. About 1,000 members remain without electricity in WEC territory, with the largest concentrations in Middlesex, Brookfield, Duxbury, Moretown and Waitsfield. If your power remains out at 9 pm tonight it will likely not be restored until tomorrow. Additional crews from other utilities are joining WEC line workers in the morning.

Statewide, more than 25,000 Vermonters remain without power.

Crews have restored power to many members, but about 1,000 remain without power at this point. Crews will continue working into the evening, but it is likely that outages will remain into tomorrow at least. If your power is not restored by this evening it is unlikely to be restored before morning. Another portion of the storm is expected this evening, which will likely cause additional outages as well.

Southern Vermont continues to see the worst of the storm and more than 30,000 are without power around the state.

WEC’s telecom providers are experiencing issues which means our outage map and outage numbers may not be up to date. Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon. WEC crews continue to work on restoring power, but new outages continue to occur due to snow loading on trees.

Green Mountain Power has repaired the transmission line to the Jackson Corners Substation, restoring power to roughly 2,000 WEC members. WEC crews continue to work on restoring power to the remaining 1,100 or so members without power. As snow continues to fall and as trees spring back once snow loads drop off, so outages are likely to continue occurring into Wednesday at least.

Green Mountain Power, which owns the transmission line to WEC’s Jackson Corners substation, is working on resolving that outage now. All WEC members served by that substation are out of power right now. We will update you when that transmission line is repaired.

The Jackson Corners substation has just lost power, as the Graniteville transmission line is down. 1,973 members fed by the substation are out, bringing the total number of WEC members without power up to 2,198.

Heavy, wet snow continues to accumulate causing additional outages in WEC territory even as others are repaired. Outages are expected to continue to occur for the duration of the storm. Currently more than 500 WEC members are without power, primarily in the Southern and Western portions of the territory and crews are actively repairing outages.

There are a handful of outages across WEC territory with a total of 146 members out of power, primarily in East Montpelier and Barre Town. Crews are working on those outages now. So far most of the damage from the storm is concentrated in Southern Vermont with more than 8,000 out of power statewide.
