July 11, 2023 – 9 pm
Line crews have been working to repair all of the outages they can access given the condition of roads in our territory and have returned power to nearly 1,000 members so far. However, there remain some areas of damage to our system that are still impossible to access or where damage was so severe significant work remains to be done. WEC crews will continue working into the night, but if you remain without power it is very possible that it will take into tomorrow before your electricity can be restored. Just over 200 members remain out of power at this point.
Remember: Do not approach downed lines or trees on lines, as they may still be energized.
If you see a tree on power lines or lines down, please report it to us: local 802-223-5245 or toll-free 1-800-932-5245.

WEC crews have been successful in finding alternate routes to most of the major outages in our system and are working on restoring power. There are currently roughly 500 members still without power. We expect that most of WEC’s members currently out of power will have their electricity restored this evening. However, there are some places in our territory that remain inaccessible and to which power will only be able to be restored once roads are made passable again. If you do not have power by 9 pm tonight, it will likely be tomorrow before crews can reach the issue(s) affecting your power and restore it.
For a breakdown of current outages, please see the WEC Outage Map. Again, thank you for your patience, for taking care of your neighbors, and stay safe.

WEC crews have restored power to 691 members this morning, despite having to take long detours around closed and flooded roads. At this time, 678 members remain out and crews continue to work as safely and quickly as possible to restore power.
WEC has been coordinating with town road crews on damaged roads, and we thank them for their help in making those roads passable. If you know that a road in the vicinity of an outage has been restored, please contact us at the numbers below. Thank you for your patience, for taking care of your neighbors, and stay safe.

WEC crews are reaching some outages by using alternate – and much longer – routes and we are hopeful that we will begin restoring power to some members shortly. However, some of the larger outages, including in Moretown and around Berlin Pond, remain inaccessible at this time. WEC is coordinating with road crews in the towns we serve, but if you know that a road in the vicinity of an outage has been restored, please contact us at the numbers below. Thank you for your patience, for taking care of your neighbors, and stay safe.

Widespread outages remain in WEC territory, with no limited ability for crews to reach many areas due to road closures and flooding. Although crews are attempting to reach areas with lines down, it is slow going, or in many cases impossible for them to respond. A major line from Moretown to Middlesex is down, causing more than 500 members to be without power. Another outage in Vershire has caused loss of power to more than 300 members. Neither is accessible to WEC crews right now. Similarly, an outage in the Berlin Pond remains inaccessible.
If you are calling in an outage and you know the condition of the roads to your location please share it with us.
