July 12, 2023 – 2 pm

Power has been restored to all but four WEC members and crews are working on or headed to those locations now. We will have significant clean-up and final repairs to do in the coming days, and there may well be new outages if there is additional flood or thunderstorm damage.

Remember: Do not approach downed lines or trees on lines, as they may still be energized.
If you see a tree on power lines or lines down, please report it to us: local 802-223-5245 or toll-free 1-800-932-5245.

July 12, 2023 – 11:30 am

WEC crews have restored power to all but 30 members. One significant outage of 22 members in Vershire remains. All other outages are scattered throughout our territory and their restoration depends on the road conditions. WEC line crews are ready with equipment and materials to make repairs when the reach those areas that are currently inaccessible.

We continue to work with local road crews across the area, who are making every effort to restore roads. Thank you for your patience.

July 12, 2023 – 6 am

WEC crews worked through the night and have restored power to all but 110 members. Six significant outages remain in Vershire, Chelsea, Woodbury, Washington and Williamstown. The cause of outages in those areas have severe damage and are in many cases not yet accessible. WEC line crews are attempting to reach those locations and are preparing equipment and materials to be ready to make repairs when they can reach those areas.
