Thursday- July 1, 2026 – 12:10 p.m.
Additional outages have continued to trickle in, and some small sections of the system have had to be turned off to do repairs. There are crews assigned to all four outages, affecting about 70 members, although more may come in from damage sustained last night. About 750 are out of power around Vermont now.

Thursday- July 1, 2026 – 5:10 a.m.
WEC crews worked through the night despite heavy rain and thunderstorms to restore power to most of those who were out of service, including outages affecting members in Calais, East Montpelier, Middlesex and other towns in the territory. Additional outages came in, including in the Chelsea area. Currently, about 41 members remain out of service and crews continue to work on those issues. Just over 300 remain out of power statewide.

Wednesday – July 1, 2026 – 11:22 p.m.
WEC crews continue to work on restoring power to members out of service. Downed trees and nighttime conditions are making repairs take some time. About 3,700 Vermonters are out of service at this time, with about 1,000 of those in WEC territory.
Additional storms are shown on radar which may cause more outages in WEC territory during the early hours of the morning.

Wednesday – July 1, 2026 – 9:30 p.m.
About 979 WEC members are out of service do to thunderstorms and associated lightning and wind. Crews are working on restoring outages, the bulk of which are served by the Maple Corners substation. Please be aware wires can remain energized even when down and do not approach, cross or touch down power lines.
