We continue to receive calls reporting trees on lines in various locations.
WEC experienced many outages overnight due to the high winds and has had crews out all night. We currently have outages in Groton (4 separate events, 230+ members without power), in East Montpelier (60 members without power), Peacham (13 members without power), and Tunbridge (1 member without power).
We had over 2,000 members out at peak around 1:00 am.
We thank our members for their patience while we continue to work to restore power. Due to multiple lines down in several remote locations, the restoration process will be slow as we get everyone back on.
Remember: If you see lines down, do not touch or approach them. They could still be energized. Please report any downed wires or trees by calling us immediately at 1-802-223-5245 or 1-800-932-5245. Please check back regularly for updates.
