After a long night, WEC crews continue to work on the remaining outages in our territory. There remain nearly a dozen separate issues on WEC lines, which means crews are restoring issues that bring a small number of members back into service. We anticipate getting power restored to all WEC members today.

7:30 a.m. – Monday, April 28
Crews worked hard through the night to restore much of the power throughout WEC territory. There are currently 114 outages. Crews will continue to work throughout the day to restore power to the remaining outages. Thank you for your patience.

10:40 p.m. – Sunday April 27
Crews have repaired the outage on Lightening Ridge and in other parts of the WEC system bringing the number of members without power down to about 360. However, the remaining outages are scattered across WEC territory which means some will likely persist into tomorrow. Crews will continue working through the night.

10 p.m. – Sunday April 27
WEC Crews continue to restore power across the territory, however many separate events are making it slow going. We anticipate returning power to most members overnight, but some outages may persist into the morning. Thanks to line crews for their hard work and to members for their patience.

7:10 p.m. – Sunday April 27
Winds have caused scattered outages, with a total of about 700 members out of power. Crews are working on restoring power, but there are more than 35 separate outage events across WEC territory it may take some time for crews to make all necessary repairs.
There are outages causing a larger number of members losing power in Calais, Walden and East Montpelier, but there are outages affecting many towns across the region. Statewide about 2,000 are without power currently.

3:05 p.m. – Sunday April 27
Crews discovered a tree on the line near Jenkins Brook. They have repaired the line and restored power in the Corinth-Chelsea area. They are now responding to a small outage in Woodbury.

2:45 p.m.– Sunday, April 27
WEC crews are working to restore power. In order to effect the restoration they needed to turn off power to an additional line, increasing the outage numbers to just over 700 WEC members. We will update this post as soon as possible.

Noon – Sunday, April 27
A spring snow storm and associated winds have caused outages in the Southern portion of WEC’s territory. About 450 WEC members are out of power currently, with the largest number in Corinth with 243 members out and Chelsea with 130 members out of power. There are small numbers out in Tunbridge and Vershire. Crews are responding and we will update with more information.
