Energy Transformation Incentives

Save on technologies through WEC!

WEC and all Vermont electric utilities are required to help members shift their energy use from fossil fuels to other sources like electric power. This requirement, called Tier III, is a component of Vermont's Renewable Energy Standard (RES). Members often experience Tier III requirements in the form of incentive programs.

Incentives and Discounts

WEC offers rebates for members purchasing or leasing new or used electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Electric Vehicle: $500
Plug-In Hybrid: $250

Income-qualifying members may also qualify for an additional $500 incentive.

Residential Chargers

WEC offers Level II EV chargers to members at no charge if they enroll in our flexible charging program, PowerShift. Members also receive $500 from Efficiency Vermont to cover the costs of charger installation.

Public Chargers

WEC offers a $500 per charging head rebate for Level II and Level III public charging stations to help expand charging infrastructure in our service territory.

Heat pumps, both ductless mini-split systems and larger ducted systems, are an efficient way to heat and cool your home while reducing propane and fuel oil usage.

WEC does not offer additional incentives for ductless mini-split systems; however, they may be right for you. Read more about ductless heat pumps here.

WEC partners with Efficiency Vermont for a single point-of-purchase incentive for air-to-water heat pumps, ground-source heat pumps, heat pump integrated controls, and ducted heat pumps.
